The World of Llowellen
Hobgoblins are native to the arctic tundra. Although some groups are settled on rivers and depend on fishing, others follow inland caribou herds, and most hobgoblins hunt seals, walrus and whales. Their culture has always been fundamentally oriented to the violence of the oceans. Hobgoblins are usually brutally honest and upfront with little patience for meekness or deception within themselves or others. Survival is paramount in the reality of life on the tundra, but they still find time to appreciate food, drink, song and romance. They know death may be upon them at any moment, and live for the here and now. They fear little, except the hostility of nature.
