Globe3.1.bmp “Quote”

Shoshanna is the Goddess of All Creation. She is Mother to Anwen and creator of the World of Llowellen and all within it. Shoshanna is a distant Goddess who prefers to act through intermediaries – Her clerics. Shoshanna’s teachings and strictures were brought to the world during the Old World by her Angels and given to the clerics who interpreted them as they saw fit. As such, a great number of churches, faiths, philosophies and cults have grown out of Shoshanna’s religion. Clerics are almost exclusively male.

The Cleric character class was designed by Gary Gygax and first published in the original 1974 Dungeons & Dragons. Gary took his inspiration from the archetypical vampire fighting clergyman of the horror genre and the mace wielding figure of Odo of Bayeux, featured on the Bayeux Tapestry. This version of the class is derived from the D&D 3.5 version written by Monte Cook, Jonathan Tweet and Skip Williams.
