Captain Doud is a pretty man, tall and smooth skinned, with close cropped mousey hair. He has a fine physique, but his height and girth made him feel awkward growing up amongst the slim and nimble sibeccai.


‘The Captain’ is the son of a slave, born into brothels and surrendered as a ward to the city when he was just an adolescent. Educated, raised and trained by the state Doud was a keen (albeit clumsy) young city templar who rose quickly to the rank of Captain, despite any prejudices his fellow templars may have held toward his race or his birth.

Current Status

As an officer of the city, Captain Doud patrols the streets of Ishtaduk enforcing the laws of the Sand King, but it is on the sands of the arena that he feels truly alive. The Captain wears his uniform in the arena and is well supported by his colleagues but he did not have a promising beginning to The Dar Games.

Captain Doud was partnered with the barbarian Hagga the Howler in a match against the giant Drusilla and her partner Rikard the Bull. Despite being the crowd favorite, and despite a brutally hard-fought battle Captain Doud was driven to the sands and almost killed. He lost a sack of potions to Drusilla, and was forced to empty his pouch in order to buy the healing he needed to be able to reenter the arena.

Later that night the Captain was selected for another bout, this time he was partnered with Smith Khalid and together the pair of them met and defeated two Yhakkoth freebooters that had traveled to the city with the royal caravans.
