Appearance

Amarta is as skinny and wiry and as tough as a piece of old gristle. Her fur is shockingly white (on the rare occasions when she is clean) with ebony-black patches at her eyes and elbows.

In the live-action Gladiator! movie Amarta will be played by Rose “Ygritte” Leslie…

Background

Amarta is a born gutter-rat, literally. Her large family can trace its history through generations and generations of beggars and scavengers. Amarta grew up on the streets of Ishtaduk living in flophouses, slums and sewers – but always living freely.

Current Status

Amarta entered her name as a free gladiator in The Dar Games and was selected for the second fight of the evening. It did not go well for her; Amarta was trading blows with Reka the Snake when her partner was suddenly decapitated by the Snake’s brother, Rikard the Bull. Suddenly facing two opponents – a sister and her brother who knew how to complement each other on the battlefield – Amarta was forced to concede her first match.

But oh well, Amarta’s upbringing has stripped her of any humility. Amarta is prepared to go to any lengths, to accept any humiliation if it ensures her own survival. But she would very much like to meet those dwarves on the sands once more…
